Tranquil Trails provides Therapeutic Supports, Specialist Positive Behaviour Support, trauma-informed counselling, and professional supervision across Canberra, surrounding NSW, and the NSW South Coast.
My work with children and young people is relational, trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming. I recognise that meaningful change often depends not only on the child or young person, but also on the understanding, responses and consistency of the adults around them.
For this reason, my NDIS therapeutic and behaviour support services increasingly include dedicated work with parents, carers, educators and support teams alongside direct work with the child or young person.
Victim Support ACT and other individual counselling services continue to be offered separately according to the person's therapeutic needs.
I offer:
-
Specialist Positive Behaviour Support
-
Early Intervention, especially with concerns of behaviours
-
Therapeutic Supports and Counselling
-
Supervision for Core and Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioners
As you consider whether this is the right fit for your family, I want to share a bit about my approach and service model:
My area of specialisation is Positive Behaviour Support with a strong focus on trauma-informed care. I work from a relational and systemic perspective, recognising that behaviour and emotional wellbeing are influenced by relationships, experiences, communication needs and the environments in which a person lives, learns and receives support.
Rather than focusing only on changing the child or young person, I work collaboratively with the people around them to build shared understanding, strengthen relationships and create practical, consistent support and response across everyday settings.
Depending on the service, this may include direct sessions with the child or young person as well as dedicated sessions with parents, carers, educators, support workers and other members of the care team.
I am committed to providing an inclusive, safe, and respectful space embracing neurodiversity, people with disabilities, the LGBTIQ+ communities, and those from diverse cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds.
